There
are several ways to register for the 2012 Breezy Point Triathlon. However,
before you
register, please read the information carefully in the "IMPORTANT
NOTICE" section below:
IMPORTANT
NOTICE
Due
to the events of September 11, 2001, we are required to follow certain
necessary security measures. Naval Station Norfolk has been extremely
amenable to the continuation of the event but must first consider the
interest of the United States Navy and its purpose of national security.
To that end, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE AN OFFICIAL GATE PASS TO ENTER
THE BASE ON RACE DAY. This will be accomplished by placing two vehicle
passes in each participant's race packet which he or she may use as they
see fit (i.e. individual use or use by family or friends coming separately
to spectate). IT IS, THEREFORE, MANDATORY THAT RACE PACKETS BE PICKED
UP BEFORE RACE DAY. If you cannot pick up your packet (all participants
MUST pick up their own packets) at packet pick-up on either Friday,
June 1st or Saturday, June 2nd, or if you cannot make arrangements with
the race director BEFORE MAY 15, 2012 to receive passes (NOT YOUR PACKET)
by mail, THEN PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS EVENT. THERE WILL BE NO ADMITTANCE
TO THE BASE WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE VEHICLE PASS OR MILITARY DECALS ON
YOUR VEHICLE.
THE
FIELD LIMIT FOR THIS EVENT IS 800. REGISTRATION CLOSES ONCE THE FIELD
LIMIT IS REACHER OR AT 11:59 PM ON FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012 -- WHICHEVER OCCURS
FIRST.

USAT 1-Day
License $12 (must be purchased when registering by mail).
The USA Triathlon one-day permit fee is $12 and
should be included with your entry fee. Each team member that is
not a USA Triathlon annual member is required to purchase a one-day permit
for $12. USAT annual members who do not bring their membership card
to packet pick-up are required to pay $12 for a one-day permit or purchase
an additional year on their license for $45.
As of this
year, youth athletes may purchase a one-day permit for $12. If a youth
participant who prefer to purchase a Youth Annual USAT membership, the
fee is $15 and should be purchased directly from USA
Triathlon IN ADVANCE OF THE EVENT.

OF YOUR METHOD OF ENTRY, YOU MUST PICK YOUR PACKET UP EITHER ON FRIDAY,
JUNE 1, 2012 OR ON SATURDAY, JUNE 2, 2012 AT THE DESIGNATED PACKET PICK-UP
LOCATIONS. THERE WILL BE NO PACKET PICK-UP OR REGISTRATION AVAILABLE ON
RACE DAY. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
