DUTIES:
  • Make sure that athletes have their numbers and helmet before reaching the bike inspection area
  • Write numbers on athletes on their legs and arms before entering transition area
  • If requested, help with bike and helmet safety checks

VOVOLUNTEERS WHO WORK AS BODY MARKERS ARE THEN ASKED TO SERVE IN SOME OTHER CAPACITY SUCH AS THE RUN COURSE, FINISH LINE HOSPITALITY OR POST-RACE PARTY HOSPITALITY. PLEASE INDICATE IN THE "OTHER" BOX ON THE APPLICATION WHAT OTHER JOB YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO.L

Volunteers should arrive approximately 30 minutes before the time listed above. Upon arrival, you will check in at the volunteer tent and receive your T-shirt. You can also grab a light snack and some coffee while you wait for instructions from the Transition Area Coordinator. After the race, you are invited to join us at Breezy Point Park for the post-race party and festivities.
PLEASE NOTE:   All volunteers must be registered with the race in order to access Naval Station Norfolk on race day. We will mail gate passes to you approximately 1-2 weeks before the event. Unless you have DoD decals on your vehicle, you will be required to have one of our gate passes to get on base. Therefore, to allow gate passes to reach you by mail in time, please register before May 20th.
